Hello Colorado Ham! The Colorado Council of Amateur Radio Clubs, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Chairman of the Board, Corporate Secretary and Frequency Coordinator. These positions are integral to the CCARC’s mission of providing reliable, transparent frequency coordination and direction to the Colorado Amateur Radio Community.
Chairman: Preside over meetings, develop direction to the Council and ensure fairness in all of our policies. We have had a long succession of very reliable Chairpersons and are glad to solicit new candidates. The current Chairman is willing to assist in on-the-job-training for new candidates so there should be no concern that something is not known!
Frequency Coordinator: This is the single most important task in the organization and is the gatekeeper for the very finite resources known as frequency allocations for the amateur community. This person’s ethics, reliability and technical abilities are very important. The current acting Frequency Coordinator has been very willing to support new candidates and encourage anyone that is interested!
Secretary: The Corporate Secretary ensures compliance in CCARC’s written word, compiles minutes for the meetings and ensures that we meet the regulatory requirements that the Federal Government and State impose on us from time to time. This position is extremely important and not something that we can live without!
If you have interest in doing any of these positions, please make your interest know to the Nomination Committee chaired by AC0KQ, Willem Schreuder.
